They are now seeking Secondary ESL Teachers to join their International Program community, starting August 2025, for Academic year 2025–2026 onwards.
About the position
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering inspiring lessons and promoting a student-centered environment that nurtures UTS‘s 6 Core Values: Integrity, Respect, Courage, Contribution, Lifelong Learning, and Creativity.
Location: UTS — Van Lang Complex Campus — Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Job type: International Program
Planning and teaching:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Secondary ESL teaching: Teachers are expected to deliver up to 30 teaching periods per week, plus 2 fixed ECA or Tutorial periods. 40 minutes per period.
- Operational flexibility: Teachers may be asked to adjust their schedules occasionally to meet the needs of the school community, which includes supporting colleagues by covering classes when necessary.
- Lesson planning: Teachers have access to quality resources to support lesson planning and student engagement while allowing flexibility in their approach.
- Non-contact time: Primarily for planning and administrative tasks, with occasional short-term coverage or support for colleagues as needed.
Curriculum Revision:
- Give feedback on the school curriculum when necessary.
- Assist in the revision of the school’s syllabi and materials if needed.
Parent engagement and student wellbeing:
- Attend annual parent-teacher meetings as scheduled.
- Collaborate with local teachers to effectively communicate with parents about academic and social matters, including follow-ups on reports and during parent-teacher meetings.
- Regularly update student progress each quarter in their LMS system.
- Ensure a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students.
Extracurricular Activities and Professional Development:
- Offer exciting extracurricular activities and clubs that support the holistic development of students; Be involved in the organization and delivery of events, festivals, assemblies, etc.
- Embrace all opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding through internal and external PD or sharing workshops/events/campaigns.
- Comply and contribute to the UTS quality improvement plan: mentor observation, peer observation, self-reflection, etc.
- Proactively participate in sharing sessions/workshops to contribute to the progress of the whole IP team.
- Attend team/department/school meetings to get updates on codes, regulations, and policies.
- Complete all paperwork required for leave requests, work permits, disciplinary measures, etc. according to timelines laid out by school policy.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor/Master university degree in a closely related field.
- Candidates with a PGCE, QTS, or a valid teaching license are strongly preferred.
- Candidates with entry-level certifications may be considered if they are actively working toward obtaining a PGCE, teaching license, or a higher qualification.
Experiences & skills:
- At least two years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual school environment.
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to implement 21st-century learning strategies, differentiated instruction, and educational interventions tailored to diverse student needs.
- Skills in IT, including the creation of interactive presentations (PPTs).
- Fluent in English (minimum C1 level). Non-native teachers must have or obtain an IELTS qualification within the first year.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents to foster a supportive and productive learning environment.
- Applicants may be required to conduct a live in person demo lesson or submit a sample lesson plan based on provided school materials.
