Spark — English Teaching in Spain
Spark is part of the wider educational group of TECS, a large summer camp provider, and El Centro Inglés, one of the most well-known private schools in Spain.
They run an English language academy for +200 children in wonderful El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain. They are one of the only language academies in the area that are principally dedicated to young learners.
Spark is looking for applicants with lots of energy and a desire to improve and develop.
About the position:
Location: El Puerto de Santa María — Cádiz, Spain
Work Periods: Mid-Sept to mid-June.

When working at Spark, you’ll have the following job duties:
- Teach three classes of 1hr 15 mins or 1hr 30mins between 16-20.30.
- Usually 1 or 2 kids (6-12) classes and/or 1 or 2 teen (13-17) classes but could also be one baby class (3-5) instead.
- Be responsible for all TEFL and parental comm related communication, including using our workflow systems.
- Attend teacher meetings 15-15.45, usually on av 1 per 3 weeks.
- Run one or two exam classes doing all corrections connected to this.
- Do 3 tutorial sessions per year 10.30-13.30 and 15.30-20.30.

Requirements:
Spark English is looking for candidates who (candidates need not fit all categories):
- are looking to teach only children, all our classes are with kids.
- seeking to develop not only as a teacher but also as a professional in general and as a person as well.
- are seeking to develop autonomous working skills.
- want to learn from highly talented and motivated people.
- seeking an afternoon timetable: 16-20.15/30.
- are ambitious, but they need not be experienced. They welcome applications from first time teachers.
Qualifications:
- College/University Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject.
- CELTA qualification or equivalent (e.g. TESOL/TEFL). For highly talented people, an exception may be made for this.
- A desire to make most of the experience.
Preferred experience (candidates need not fit all categories):
- Teaching kids or, if new to teaching, then experience working with children in another setting, for example sports teaching, summer camp work, babysitting etc..
- Living away from home and working with international people.
- Being passionate about their work.
