Bilingual – English Teachers Wanted in Hungary

Bilingual is a private, non-profit, tuition-based educational enterprise operating in Hungarian state and private educational institutions since 2001.

They operate their nationally accredited bilingual program in six primary schools, one high school, and four kindergartens in Budapest and its environs.

They are now seeking more English teachers to join their team in Hungary.

About the position

Bilingual offers an innovative approach to teaching, including the interactive and communicative approach favored in EFL environments as well as Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in their subject lessons at all grade levels and in kindergarten.

As such, they co-teach: teachers hold lessons jointly and alternate in the leading role, switching languages throughout the lesson. So students study simultaneously in both English and Hungarian.

They benchmark externally with Cambridge language exams, and they’re also innovative in terms of technology, integrating various online learning platforms in our classrooms.

Requirements

You are:

• A native speaker of English or a balanced bilingual (CEF level C2)
• Able to form good relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
• A team player but also independent, self-starting, and highly motivated
• Highly adaptable and solution-focused at work
• Ready to navigate differences in culture flexibly

You have:

• Experience working with young children, middle schoolers, and/or high school students
• A Bachelor’s degree (in teaching or other areas)
• Certification in TEFL
