ABC Plus – Teach English in Japan
Located in Nagoya, Japan’s fourth largest city, ABC PLUS English School is an independent conversation school for children, high school students, and adults.
They are currently looking for a qualified applicant for a full-time English conversation teaching position in Nagoya starting on May 18, 2024.
They are accepting both domestic and overseas applications.
About the position
Location: Nagoya, Japan
Scope: Full-time
Schedule: 22 – 25 classes per week (each class usually lasts 45-50 minutes)
Student ages: From 2 years old to adults
Class sizes: Maximum of 6 students

Requirements
(A) Necessary Requirements
ABC Plus only accepts complete application packages which are submitted by e-mail from applicants who meet the following requirements:
- Native English speaker
- Bacherlor’s degree
(B) Preferred Requirements
Applicants that meet one or more of the following are preferred:
- is trustworthy, flexible, and positive
- is hardworking, self-motivated, and disciplined
- enjoys teaching a wide range of students from preschool to adults
- has experience leading groups of school-aged children
- is able to plan engaging and effective lessons for a variety of class types
- has one year of full-time ESL teaching
- has three years of consistent teaching experience in a public or private school
- has a TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification from within the last six months
- has a basic understanding of written and spoken Japanese
- is considerate of cultural barriers and has a genuine interest in Japanese culture
