About Invictus:
Invictus International School Phnom Penh offers private international education from Early Years (Kindergarten) through to Year 13. The school is located in central Phnom Penh and is equipped with modern learning facilities and qualified educators who are experienced in delivering holistic English curricula to cultivate international learners. French, Chinese, and Khmer are offered as additional languages from Reception through to Cambridge A-Levels.
Invictus teachers hold degrees and teaching qualifications from internationally recognized universities. Using 21st Century best practices, our teachers provide student-centered learning that enables students to master skills, knowledge, and concepts. Using the best international curricula, we provide our students with the chance to develop multicultural and international perspectives as global citizens of the world.
Here at Invictus we believe in a personalized learning approach, our maximum class size is 1 teacher to 25 students, with even smaller class sizes of 1:8 in Nursery and 1:10 in Reception. Our educators deliver a rigorous curriculum while engaging students to inculcate a lifelong love of learning. We believe that every child is unique and seek to help students fulfill their potential as confident, capable, and internationally-minded individuals.
Invictus provides multilingual education so students gain a competitive edge in our global environment. Students have the option of lessons in English and French, English and Khmer, or English and Mandarin.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
You will play a key role in providing our young with an enriched learning experience, nurturing their intellectual and social domains, and preparing them for lifelong learning. You will plan and deliver education programs in order to foster holistic learning and development for the children and be involved in parent and community engagement.
Area of key focus:
- Organize and execute education programs to encourage holistic development
- Support the development and implementation of teaching and learning approaches and resources, as well as ways to better the learning experiences for the children
- Prepare learning materials and conduct age-appropriate programs
- Provide a positive learning environment and ensure the children’s well-being and safety
- Using assessment information to plan progression for the differing needs of learners in the class
- Use of appropriate assessment tools for formative and summative assessment to plan the progression for the differing needs of the children.
- Monitor document and assess children’s learning and growth
- Engage parents and partners in education to be involved in the learning and development of the children
Job requirement:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized/accredited university
- A Teaching degree or diploma ( or equivalent)
- Experience in teaching EL, Maths, Science in elementary grades in an international school (preferred)
