Location: Shanghai, Jiangsu province and Zhejiang Province – China

Student ages: 2-6 years

Responsibilities: As a Kindergarten English Teacher, your role is crucial in fostering the intellectual and social development of young children aged 2 to 6 years.

Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this position:

• Designing and Following a Teaching Plan:
  • Create a comprehensive teaching plan that aligns with the kindergarten curriculum.
  • Implement lessons effectively, considering children’s physical and mental development.
• Teaching Alphabet, Numeracy, and Social Skills:
  • Teach foundational skills such as alphabet recognition, numeracy, and social and emotional development.
  • Utilize various methods like songs, stories, art, and outdoor activities to engage and motivate children.
• Organizing Learning Materials and Resources:
  • Prepare teaching aids, materials, and resources in advance.
  • Ensure a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
• Parent Communication:
  • Maintain open communication with parents, providing relevant information about their child’s progress.
• Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
  • Regularly assess students’ performance and progress.
  • Nurture cooperation and sharing among children.
• Professional Development and Research:
  • Undertake scientific research related to teaching challenges or personal characteristics.
  • Continuously improve teaching abilities and quality.
• Classroom Management and Activities:
  • Organize and manage class activities.
  • Cultivate good habits in children related to living, learning, and behavior.
• Active Participation:
  • Engage in all kindergarten activities.

Benefits

Compensation Package:

• Monthly Salary: Ranging from 15,000 to 18,000 RMB (pre-tax).
• Housing Allowance: 3,000 RMB per month (pre-tax).
• Flight Allowance: 6,000 RMB.
• Work Visa (Z): Provided.
• Paid Holidays: 2 weeks of paid summer holidays, 2 weeks of paid winter holidays (including Spring Festival and National Holidays).
• Insurance: Coverage for accidental and severe hospitalization during the contract period.

Requirements

• Age: 23-40 years.
• Nationality: Citizens of the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand (due to visa policies).
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Language, Education, Drama, Arts, Science, or related fields.
• Certification: TESOL/TEFL certificate or equivalent.
• Independence and Creativity: Ability to organize and carry out teaching activities independently.
• Parent Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents.
• Health and Safety: Strict adherence to teaching standards and safety regulations.

How to apply

Here are the essential documents you’ll need for applying for a work permit and residence permit:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Above:
  • Obtain the original copy of your bachelor’s degree certificate.
  • Ensure that the word “bachelor” is explicitly mentioned on the certificate.
  • Get the degree Apostilled (authenticated) to verify its legitimacy.
• Additionally, make sure your police clearance is valid for at least 3 months from the date of application.
• TESOL/TEFL Certificate: If you have a TESOL/TEFL certificate, ensure it meets the minimum requirement of 120 hours. Get the certificate Apostilled as well.
• Alternatively, if you have 2 years of related teaching experience, you’ll need a recommendation letter to support your application.
• Police Clearance: Obtain a police clearance certificate. Ensure it is Apostilled and valid for at least 4 months from the application date.
