About the position

Positions available:

English teacher working with teenagers and adults

    • Location: Blue Pencil Bemowo
    • Schedule: Blocks of lessons (Monday–Thursday 16:00-20:45 and Fridays 13:00-19:00)
    • Apply if you are: Experienced in working with teenagers (13 yo and older) and adults experienced in Cambridge exam preparation (Preliminary, First, Advanced)

English teacher working with kids

  • Location: Blue Pencil Bemowo
  • Schedule: Blocks of lessons (Monday–Friday 8:00-16:00)
  • Apply if you are: Experienced in working with kids (6yo-12yo)

  • Trainings and mentoring: They offer both in-company and external workshops and training sessions for all teachers in Blue Pencil. Every new teacher goes through their Induction Week. For the less experienced teachers they offer full support, including buddy system which is a one-on-one mentoring with senior teacher and an abundance of materials in the form of lesson planners.
  • School community events: In Blue Pencil, they managed to create a small, international community. They have parties, take part in sporting events and socialize with Warsaw people on Thirsty Thursdays and Freaky Fridays.
  • Free, organized entrance to cultural institutions: Since you are a foreigner in Poland, they want you to learn about our country and the city you are going to live in. That’s why they organize trips to most interesting places in Warsaw like: Polish Vodka Museum, Warsaw Uprising Museum, Polin and others.
  • Relocation bonus: They cover part of the expenses of your moving to Poland, like flight tickets or bus fares. They also help you find the right accommodation in the vicinity of the school, as you might be unfamiliar with the city or the neighbourhood. There is an option for cheap, temporary accommodation for those of you who are coming to Warsaw for the first time.
  • Legalisation of stay refund: They cover most of the expenses of getting your visa and the work permit.

Requirements

In addition to the requirements mentioned for each specific position above, Blue Pencil is looking for teachers who are also able to meet the following requirements:

  • A proficient speaker of English
  • Open to new ideas and willing to learn
  • Dedicated to teaching
  • Educated or trained in the field of language teaching
