Hello! English Academy – English teachers needed in Spain

Hello! English Academy is looking for a dynamic and motivated English teacher to join their team in a private academy in Cartagena, Murcia and Almeria, Spain.

About the positions:

Location: Cartagena, Murcia and Almeria, Spain

Contract length: Starting in September 2022 through to June 2023 with the opportunity to continue as a returning teacher for the following academic year in September 2023.

Class size: 9 students per class

Responsibilities:

Hello! English Academy believes that there has to be a mixture of old and new teaching methods, as the combination of them can be very successful in the process of teaching English. Their teachers actively mix specific methods that motivate and arouse the students’ interests, as well as help them to progress, deepen and better apply their learning process

• Propose a variety of exercises, both written and oral, to improve the precision, fluency and communicative ability of the students.
• Correct errors made by your students
• Develop the four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
• Use practical exercises to improve pronunciation.
• Help students personalize the use of grammatical and lexical items seen in class.
• Understand that a didactic program must include not only grammar and vocabulary but also linguistic functions, colloquialisms, set phrases, etc.
• Incorporate guided discovery exercises to teach new grammar rules.
• Occasionally use translation – it is the most efficient way to provide the meaning of a new concept in an instant, especially if it is about abstract ideas.
• Follow a textbook focused on Cambridge exams and commit to developing a wide variety of resources to deliver productive, relevant and stimulating lessons.

Requirements:

The successful candidate:

• Must be a native level speaker of English
• Must have EU citizenship or already possess suitable working permits
• CELTA/TEFL
• Experience is preferable however full training will be provided.
